Days 9, 10, 11 - the reason for the trip arrives
And so, after one of my worst riding days in a long long time....I arrived in Nashville and transitioned from "go" mode to support mode. The original reason for coming to Nashvile (and thus this trip) was to volunteer as the media/communications person for the Fuller Center's Bike Adventure Spring Ride. I really believe in what they are doing to eliminate poverty housing, and this was a way that I felt I could contribute in place they needed filled. Bascially, the ride will be one week, and average 60-90 miles per day for the bicyclists with about 2 rest stops in there for them...all very easy on a motorcycle, but to scout out shots AND chase them all around the Natchez Parkway...well, let's just say I'm glad I have a fast Ducati. :-)
